To win it in 2006 was nice ....to retain the trophy in 2007 with a new team is the stuff of dreams when one considers the trauma and nightmare of two penalty shoot outs, some dubious refereeing decisions and decent football teams from Limerick and Dublin, but the young Celts believed in themselves and represented their club, town, county and province with a deep belief and a pure footballing attitude.

The great Liverpool player Alan Hansen once said you never win anything with kids but you do Alan, the secret is you pick the correct players, tell them never to give up hope, do what they are good at, and never ever revert to unsporting conduct on the field and play the game with a smile on your face. The young Celts did this and are today all- Ireland champions for the second year running.
