On this day in 2019 this bunch of fabulously gifted footballers were in Abbey carton Longford for the U12 Gaynor Cup Qualifying round. After 4 games the Mayo girls faced the hosts Longford and won 2 -0 with goals from Mallaidh Lavelle and Roisin Horkan. Not a single goal was conceded on the day as the girls grabbed one of the 4 places on offer for the University of Limerick later that year.
Management on the day was Kevin Sheeran, Micheal Collins and Darine Moran with Dave Breen and Patrick Lambe also present to witness how good this squad was.
And an even better achievement lay just around the corner........................
