Delegates Meeting: Will take place on Thursday 4th October in the Traveller’s Friend Hotel, Castlebar, commencing at 8:00. All clubs must be represented by their chairpersons and secretaries. Non-attendance will result in a fine being levied against the club.
Kick Start One Coaching Course: The Football Association of Ireland are holding a Kick Start 1 Coach Education Course in Milebush Park, Castlebar on Friday evening 5th October 7-10pm and Saturday 6th October 10-4pm
Participants must attend all modules of the course in order to qualify for certification. This course is designed to, assist beginner coaches, parents, teachers introduce young children (6-9) to fundamental warm up activities, basic activities and fun games in a safe, structured and stimulating environment. Course fee is €45. This course is limited to 24 participants so book early to avoid disappointment.
Kick Start 1 coaches will receive an FAI Kick Start 1 certificate of attendance as part of the National Coaching Development Programme.

Sports Partnership News: Mayo Sports Partnership has just launched details of the events and courses they will host during September to November 2007.
Just some of the courses organised include; Child Protection in Sport-Code of Ethics courses, Sports First Aid courses, ‘Speed, Agility & Quickness (SAQ)’, Video Analysis of Team Performance, Active Leadership training and many more. Courses are held throughout the county.

Information can be sought from the Sports Partnership in the purchase of defibrillators for each club.

Football Amateur Review Steering Group: The F.A.I. is inviting all stakeholders and friends of football in Mayo to a meeting in the Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar on Wednesday 3rd October at 8.00pm to have their say on the future development of the game. Players, administrators, officials, referees, fans and the media are invited to attend - this is your opportunity to have your say. Senior Management of the F.A.I. will be in attendance. The Football Association of Ireland has commenced the first ever, strategic review of the amateur game in Ireland and is examining every aspect of the amateur game with a view to producing a strategy for its future development. As part of the review the FAI is seeking the opinions of people involved in the games at all levels in order to understand their concerns, issues and ideas for making their game better.
“This is an opportunity for clubs, players, coaches, administrators, officials, fans and media to have their say,” said FAI Chief Executive John Delaney. “The FAI recognises that the foundations of football are built at local level and we are committed to the development of a more effective amateur game structure and the provision of appropriate organised and quality competitive football opportunities for all involved.
“We want to hear what those on ground are thinking. We want to know what they think is wrong, what is working and what are their ideas and suggestions for the future development of their game,” added Mr Delaney.
Table Quiz in aid of Mayo/Roscommon Hospice: On November 4th P.J. McHale(former player/manager with Ballyvary BBs) and Peter Jordan Breaffy will run in the New York Marathon in aid of Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.
They have set themselves a target of €10,000, to-date they have collected over €9,000.
Next Thursday night, 27th September at 9pm they will be holding a Table Quiz in Frank O
Attractive prize money is available for the first three teams and numerous spot prizes will be available on the night.
So for a fun night of entertainment and the chance to support this worthy cause please come along and enter a team.
Sports Capital Workshop/Information Evening: Joe Butler has been asked by Charlie Lambert of Mayo Sports Partnership to hold an Information Evening / Workshop for the 2008 Sports Capital Programme on Monday 12th November 2007 at the Mayo Education Centre, Castlebar (8.00 to 10.00 pm). Filling In of Match Cards: All match cards must be printed in BLOCK CAPITAL letters with the full name and surname of players. An improperly filled match card renders a club liable to a €25 fine. Clubs are reminded that both teams must TEXT in their results to 087-0548106 immediately after their games.
LMC Meeting: Will take place in the Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar on Tuesday 25th September at 9:00 and Tuesday 2nd October at 9:00. All committee members are asked to attend.
