Victories for Killala and Kiltimagh/Knock United: The recent finals in Milebush produced some entertaining football and the afternoon began when a strong Killala team defeated Ballyvary Blue Bombers in the Girls U.14 Cup final. Tonights final round of the under 16 League saw four of the Under 16 League Divisions decided. In Division 1 despite losing away to Bangor Hibs Kiltimagh / Knock United were crowned champions. In Division 2A Ballyheane lost their 100% record drawing with Straide & Foxford but still lifted the title .In Division 2B Castlebar Town beat Moyvilla in a title decider to win their first underage title. In Division 2C Ballinrobe Town pipped Achill Rovers to win the title.

Kiltimagh / Knock United today defeated Westport United 2-1 in the Under 13 Final in Milebush Park.It was a tight match which remained scorless at halftime. Kiltimagh / Knock roared into a two goal lead and it looked all over. Westport however found new reserves after scoring and were unlucky not to equalise.This was the first staging of the Under 13 Cup for many years and after todays superb match it will be an established fixture on the underage callender. Photos to follow.

Celtic overcame longtime league leaders Ballina Town and Claremorris to claim the under 12 Blue Ribbon. This division of the Leagues has emerged as the most competitive so far this season and all teams who participated were a credit to their clubs.
