Murphy became the first Mayo player to captain
an Irish international soccer team on Friday,
February 11th, 2000. He did so in an Irish
Schools international clash against England
at Terryland Park. The match ended 1-1, Murphy
getting the Irish goal.
A number of weeks earlier, Murphy also scored
when he made his debut for the Irish youth
(under-18) side in a Home International match
against Northern Ireland at Newry, which also
ended in a 1-1 draw. |

The Kiltimagh teenager was capped by the
Irish Youth (Under-18) side in the 1-1 draw
with Northern Ireland in a Home Nations
international clash at Newry on January
18th, 2000. A member of Galway United, he
was one of three Mayo players selected on
an historic night for soccer in Mayo.

his first taste of international football
in the 1-1 draw by the Irish youth (under-18)

January 18th, 2000. He is a member of Belvedere
F.C., Dublin.

the draw with Holland in an international
match at Dublin on Wednesday, November 8th,
2000. The Kiltimagh-based star subsequently
signed for Leeds United where he hopes to
make a professional career in the game.

of louisburgh, she also won an All-Ireland
senior ladies Gaelic football title in 1999.

24th 2001.
Coleman scored for the Irish under-17 side
against Russia during an international tournament
in the Algarve, Portugal, which took place
from February 28th to March 5th, 2003.
